Haitian Amputee Coalition partners Hanger Ivan R. Sabel Foundation and Physicians for Peace are teaming up to conduct a nationwide prosthetic limb drive.
As the Red Bluff Daily News reports, the coalition partners are seeking donations of limbs no longer needed by their original owners so they can be reused by the thousands of Haitians who lost limbs in January’s devastating earthquake.
Without proper instruction, limbs will heal in ways that will make it impossible to ever receive a prosthetic fitting. These brochures will ensure that our team can provide the prosthetics that so many Haitian amputees so desperately need.
